Melly Still: Adapting stories for stage

Director Melly Still talks about the process of adapting the tales in Beasts and Beauties. The stories were first retold by poet Carol Ann Duffy, then Melly took on the task of dramatising them. Since she had selected stories with a strong dramatic core, and wanted to have narrators on stage, there weren't too many changes to be made to the text. Only descriptive passages were removed.
