 | | David Farr: Idea for Beasts and Beauties | | | |
David Farr, joint artistic director of the Bristol Old Vic Theatre, tells us how they got the idea for bringing Beasts and Beauties to Bristol. Simon Reade, the other artistic director, had worked with Melly Still and her working partner, Tim Supple, in the past, and knew of the production they were putting on in Norway. He asked them if they wanted to reinvent it at Bristol, and Melly was very keen, though she stressed that she wanted Norwegian percussionist Terje Insungset to do the music for it. |
