In the rehearsal of this scene from ‘Toby and the Wolf’, director Melly Still works with actors Elliot Levey and Howard Coggins to develop the personalities of the Wolf and Dog characters. The Dog and the Wolf are each trying to persuade the other: the Wolf wants Toby to take revenge on his master by attacking his prize ram, while the sensible and cautious Dog points out the potential dangers.
