Malcolm Storry: Fundamentalism

Actor Malcolm Storry, who plays John Proctor, discusses fundamentalism in terms of the characters of John Proctor and Deputy Governor Danforth. He says that Danforth is a fundamentalist: he believes that a person must be either for or against a cause, there is no middle road. John Proctor, however, is not a fundamentalist, and although he may be confused about what to do at the end of the play, he uses reasoning to help him make his decision.
