Actor Ganiat Kasumu auditioned for the role of Tituba, Reverend Parris' slave. She discusses the accent of the character with Director Jonathan Church, and then reads an excerpt of the text from the end of Act 1 where Tituba is accused of witchcraft. Associate Director Neale Birch reads the part of Reverend Parris. Ganiat was not offered a part in The Crucible .
