Performance: In the bedroom of Betty Parris

In this scene from Act 1, Abigail, Mercy and Mary meet in ten year old Betty’s bedroom to get their stories straight about what happened in the forest. Sleeping Betty suddenly wakes up and reveals that Abigail drank blood as a charm to kill John Proctor’s wife. Abigail slaps Betty and scares the other girls into keeping quiet about what went on in the woods.
