Michelle Tate: Mercy Lewis' objectives in Act 1

Actor Michelle Tate goes through the objectives of her character, Mercy Lewis, in Act 1. First she wants to talk to Abigail alone and get their stories straight, which involves trying to get rid of the other girls who are already in the room. She also wants to help Abigail wake up Betty, and at the end of the scene, when John Proctor walks in, she wants him to know that she knows about his affair with Abigail.
