Bethan Cecil: Can Betty fly?

When ten-year-old Betty, played by Bethan Cecil, wakes up in Act 1 and says she can fly, Bethan chooses to assume that Betty actually believes she can fly. This choice allows her to portray Betty as young and naïve – otherwise when Betty tries to fly out of the attic window she would be trying to commit suicide.
