Jonathan Church: Importance of the play

Director Jonathan Church talks about the timeless themes in The Crucible, such as authority forcing people to choose between two opposing ideologies. The play was written during the McCarthy era, and Arthur Miller used the Salem witch trials to say what he wanted about the politics at the time.
