Patricia Kerrigan: The kiss

Actor Patricia Kerrigan describes the two kisses between the Proctors that occur in the play, which she says are vital in the journey of these characters. When Elizabeth receives the first kiss, she moves away, but their kiss at the end, initiated by John Proctor, is passionate. She says that this last kiss can be played in many different ways – it depends on how the two actors decide to portray what would be the last kiss from the love of your life.
