Theatre manager Nigel Cairns says that a big part of his job involves motivating a large team of people with diverse occupations at the theatre. He must know what approach to take with different people, which can be a challenge. It also helps to have a good eye for detail to pick up on things that other members of the team may have missed, to have lots of energy and to be a good communicator.
