Pip Donaghy: Stress experienced by Reverend Parris

Pip Donaghy says that by Act 4, his character, Reverend Parris is a nervous wreck. The circumstances have become completely out of hand, and Parris gets more and more stressed as more people are hanged. At the end of Act 4, he finds a dagger over his door, a clear sign that people in the village are outraged that John Proctor and Rebecca Nurse have been hanged.
