The building site

Designer Jessica Worrall explains how she drew inspiration for her design for The Wars of the Rosesfrom inner city building sites where the façade of old buildings was being preserved and supported by scaffolding whilst a new interior was being built within. Jessica saw this as a metaphor for the state of England depicted in these plays; it was difficult to tell whether these buildings were being built or dismantled.
